Moholoholo Rehabilitation Center

A leader in wildlife conservation education, Moholoholo Rehabilitation Center is located in the small town of Kampersrus, just a thirty minute drive from Nkanyi House. The centre provides guided tours twice daily at 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday.

Here you can have close encounters with a variety of vultures, raptors and mammals, while learning about the challenges currently facing African wildlife.

The center rehabilitates many injured or abandoned birds and mammals. Those that can be are released to the wild. Animals and birds whose injuries do not allow them to survive in the wild, or who have become too imprinted to human contact, remain at the center to become ambassadors in their many education programs.

By working with local farmers and villagers, the center has been able to promote the capture and relocation of “problem” wildlife, which may have previously killed.
