Blyde River Canyon

The Blyde River Canyon is the third largest canyon in the world and is also the most verdant. The highest point of the canyon, Mariepskop, can be viewed from Nkanyi House. The variations in altitude within the canyon lead to an abundance of different flora and fauna. Every primate species seen in South Africa is present in the region, as are crocodiles and an incredible range of birdlife.

There are many activities that you can do in the area including hiking, hot air balloon or microlight flights and boat trips.
