Kruger National Park

The world-renowned Kruger National Park is one of the premier parks for viewing wildlife in all of Africa. Established in 1898, the park spans more than 2 million hectares. The park is home to 147 species of mammals, including all of the “Big Five”: rhinoceros, elephants, water buffalo, lions and leopard. There are also 114 species of reptiles, and more than 500 types of birds. Numerous camps are scattered throughout the park, with most offering restaurants, toilet facilities and gift shops.

Nkanyi House is located just a 45 minute drive from the Orpen Gate park entrance. This area of the park is less busy than the more southern areas, yet still has abundant game. We are more than happy to provide guests with our favourite routes for a day drive through the park, our tricks for spotting game and our favourite camps to stop at for a meal or a cool drink.
